Terry, Lee, Lee's 16 year old cousin, Nodds and I are heading to Awonga this week, only 4 more sleeps :fishing: , Biggles is on a mission to get me my first eva barra, from the yak and over the meter :woohoo:

Forecast looks good, light easterlies most of the week. I've the fishing at Awoonga is tough at the moment, but they are getting a few in Iveragh creek. Water is a lot higher this year, I'd recommend launching near the cafe since you using yaks. Lot less leg work.

Have a great trip, and I expect lots of barra photo;s!!!!

PS After catching my first barra over a metre last week, I take my hat off to you blokes doing it from a yak!.

Hopefully there's many more metre barra to be shown this time next week:) Along with some pelagic fish

I'm after a metre barra, and hopefully at least 5 barra. We'll see how we go:) I'm sure we have enough knowledge and experience between us (in fishing, not necessarily Awoonga) that we should be able to find some fish. I've heard mixed reports from Awoonga, hot one day cold the next.

Just picked up some 20lbs fins for my sustian 4000

A Damiki Arowana 130mm

A TT Tornado spinner bait (mainly for cod)

and an XRAP for the jacks we'll be bagging out on

AL I was thinking earlier today (and Lee msged me a bit later) that I was going to take my laptop up. Might even write up a daily report while I'm up there, that way it's all good for when we get back:)

There was free wireless internet available at Monduran but noone had a computer with access so we had to rely on mobile photos and text messages to tease everyone.
