That's a Happy Moment aka Black Spinefoot. Best not to handle them as their spines can inflict painful stings. Where did you catch it?

They are reputed to be good eating, they are a member of the trevally family, one of the common names being "black trevally", but most people call them happy moments, which is not what they give you!

They are very nice eating raw as soon as you catch them.Key is to cut spikes off before trying to do anythng else with them.Do not get spiked.Take it from me as i got spiked twice at the same time trying to pull one in from a canal and it hit my thigh on the way over the edge.Imagine a green ant bite times x many.
