im off to agnes waters on monday for a week.

i have never been there let alone fished there.

anyone got any pointers where to head for a flick?

i wont be going off shore but might have access to a tinny.

but land based spots would be nice to know.

the catwalk which is the rocks at round hill headland at 1770 which is just up the road mate. spinning iff there is good for big spanish, queenies and tuna. huge groper live there too

Will also be up there on Friday morning next week, so will give it a go. Still waiting on Club Marine to replace my gear, but should be able to get something together for a flick. A spanish on the BBQ for AFL grand final day would be tops.

as long as there is tidal flow, trevs are easy to catch on slugs out front of the camping ground.

the agnes waters caravan park was closed down when I was there earlier this year, but the one at 1770 past the boat ramp is the one I was referring to. I got busted off big time fishing from the beach, most likely sharks. You see heaps cruising the shallows.

You might want to take something a bit bigger than 8lb if you plan on fishing from the rocks, but there is heaps to cast at in the creek along 1770

8lb might be a bit light for the catwalk mate. i start at 15lb. spanish to 30kg get caught off these rocks mate. also massive queenies and huge longtails too
