queensland Gold Coast Yak Fish

Hey guys

Heading to the Gold Coast this weekend to visit relatives, so it gives me a perfect oppurtunitie to bring my yak along and go for a fish. I'm real keen on giving some more bream on lures a crack, and am just after a good spot to launch not too far from Pacific Pines.

Any advice would be great.

Closest river would be the Coomera and you can launch off the ramp at Reserve Rd and paddle acoss the lake or drive around to Brittany Dr and launch at the park there. From there travel toward the mouth and target the pontoons around the area in the early morning for topwater fun

Coomera lake is definetly worth a go, I haven't fished it for a while. Another place thats worth a go is Anglers paradise at Labrador, plenty of bream in there, also trevally around the entrance. Good luck, I'd join you but I am off to Double island point for the weekend

Ok sweet, Thanks guys. Not sure were i'll head just yet. I'm leaning towards some canals close by, and cast at the potoons with my plastics. Not sure yet might try the Coomera lake, heard good things about fishin there.

Thought so, Have fished the coomera plenty of times but havent ventured tha far down. I will probably be hitting that up on sunday in the yak! Dan if your arround the coomera on sunday swing me a p.m mate

I've just moved literally 5 minutes away from that place and I've ear marked that place after a browse on google maps too. I was going to hit it up after the bass closed season.
