Somewhere on the surface

Hi, I am looking for somewhere to go this weekend fishing for bream and the likes using surface lures. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I may also use soft plastics and the missus' father will use prawns.

G'day Mate,

On the southside around Bulimba I have noticed a couple of okay spots where bream have been hitting the surface. One of them is Perrin Creek (park next to Lytton road, and fish the snags river-side), and the other is a small creek that comes out near the end of Taylor rd (follow the road to the end, walk to the river, and head right, the creek is about 150m east of the road). These spots are good around first light/last light. From what I have seen, prawns will also get smashed at these spots, but having said that, prawns tend to get eaten anywhere in the river lol!!!

any of the canal systems at the goldy or sunshine coast, but they'll be a bit tougher until its starts really getting warmer.

I've never had any luck in the Brissie river... probably because I've never really tried though...

As the Do said, any canal system basically, but water temp doesn't really matter as much as time of day. I find first light to be the most productive, but having said that I have caught bream on the surface in the middle of the day a few times

Thanks guys, I'm thinking either GC canals somewhere or maybe up to pumicestone passage. Fishing from land so I'm not sure what spots there are.
