Smallest Shark Ever!

Thought some people might enjoy this, i caught this little fella a few weeks ago. He took a 4 1/2" whole squid and somehow managed to fit a 6/0 recurve circle all the way down his throat if you look closely you can still see the hook which is nearly bigger then his whole head inside his gob.

Anyway else seen sharks this small? i heard it was very uncommon to see baby sharks?

very common in river systems, that little fella wouldnt be anymore that acouple days old if that. thats awsom man

That's awesome mate. Caught a few under similar circumstances out at Victoria Point, used to call em handbag sharks. The ones we caught were real weird lookin, looked liked they hadn't grown into their skins yet or somethin, hence the handbag shark

Lol glad you guys find it as cool as i did, the amazing thing i found was how perfect it was, unlike the handbag sharks mentioned in the post it was in perfect condition no lose skin, everything was in proportion just a whole heap smaller then we are used too. Was unreal to see up close and hold. I agree it would look awesome cruising around in a fish tank smashing goldfish :evil: lol TBH when it first hit the surface i thought it was a whiting, then i had a second look

Hahahahah yeah would look mad and like you said look really good at feed time hahahahah, no onw would put that hand in the tank when it got a bit bigger, unless it was hand trainded lol, thats one cool catch.

Lol he/she really did look to good to do anything too except return safe and sound to go harass more of my baits. Took off like a rocket too it wasn't hanging around.

I have caught little Whalers and Hammers like that on 16/0 circles
