Hey fellow members, I'm relatively new to the site as I have just moved down from Darwin. I'm thinking of blowing out the cobwebs on the boat for her maiden voyage into the depths of Moreton Bay and possibly beyond looking for some nice snapper. Now I am not asking for your special secret spots but some helpful tips would be much appreciated as I have next to no local knowledge of the area or techniques used down this way.

Cheers

Troy

welcome to afo mate.

as for snapper, try mud island, peel island, harry atkinsons artificial reef, any of the reefs inside moreton such as tangalooma reef, curtin artificial reef and bulwer reef just to name acouple. their are so many reefs out their. and the reefs outside are endless

bait.... pillies and squid are ok, but you get alot a small pickers taking your bait, try and stick with whiting, pike, yellowtail, slimies, mullet and herring.

use as little weight as possible and as light a line as you dare
