Two in a row!

Congratulations Marty on winning the Damiki Fish Of The Month Competition for September 2011.

Backing up from last months win on Australian Salmon, Marty came up trumped again with Flathead for the month of September! Marty’s fish was taken on a 4" Gulp Ripple Mullet and measured in at an impressive 76cm! The fish was obviously released to fight another day.

A reminder to all people competing for the Fish Of The Month competition in October that photo’s of fish must now be entered “unaltered” after capture. This means fish photographed with cut throats, scaled and gutted etc will not be eligible. Our reasoning for this is simply that a fishes length can be affected by several cm’s prior to being cleaned and that’s more than enough to affect the competition.

In addition to the above, we would also like to announce that and hand signal will now be required in each entry to justify that the fish was caught in the nominated calendar month. This hand signal will be nominated in the announcement article and thread each month with a photographic representation of what is required. The hand signal should be included in the photograph of the fish on the measuring device.

Good luck to all those competing in the October Damiki Fish Of The Month Competition. The target species for October is Estuary Cod.
