Hi all

I am curious as to how the wind affects fishing I hear alot of people talk about it? if someone could give me a run down on it particurly in the rivers would be great

northerlies forget it

Agree with fn about the northerlies (the shitful notherlies as they are known). Westerlies not much better imho. South easterlies seem to be good for most fishing. Maybe some of this is more about the time of year that you get these winds? Eg, northerlies are usually at this time of the year when we are in between bottom bashing and pelagics.

Anyone think its worth getting out tomorrow and trying for a feed of mackeral around the beacons?

mate alot of fresh in the bay from the dam release,prob not worth it

I have been wondering all weekend, what is the effect on the fish to cause it to shut down.

the funny thing is that the northerlies bring on the Barra bite in the Impoundments because the heat the water up.

Just spent the weekend in Harvey bay and it was totally shut down
