Two Faced EPA

Just been listening to Dave Downie and he had a bit to say about the EPA and the power of the big buck.

EPA have given the green light for FIFTY million cubic metres to be dredged from the middle banks for the airport extension.

The reasoning for approval being allowed is that they will be dredging deep holes over a small area.

Come on 50 million out of a small hole it will be that deep it will suck all the oil out of Nigeria.

The other one is that the waste from the water purification plant is going to be pumped into Brisbane River with EPA approval. When Cambell Newman was approached he replied with a polite letter thanking for bringing to his notice.

Maybe they could have dug up the mainland for the extra fill and created another bay. The EPA could have greenzoned that! Then they could have pumped the waste into that hole to fill it back up again.

Just more evidence of the political rather than environmental science being used hey:angry:

Could have got a heap of fill by deepening some of the low level dams but the trucks would have probably have to drive past some polys place.
