Fishing the Tide

Hi guys/girls

Can you explain what side of the tide is best to fish.

I have tide tables but don't know when to go.

In my case the Spit is closest for me,do i add minutes on the times.

get there the first 2 hrs before the runing in tide and fish till the tide was dead low, a promising method

So correct me if im wrong.

If my tide table states a 1.8mtr at 23.00 hrs,start fishing at 21.00 hrs until when.

Different tides work for different places... best bet its to fish your fav spot on all tides till U work out what works for that spot....

I prefer the run out tide. But you have to be out their to catch a fish so dont let it affect wether you go or not.

when i normally fish i fish for more the 8hrs so ill try and get the run in and run out - i have always found approx 2hrs before and after the tide has settled is best -

When lure fishing, I generally prefer a high tide, as this makes more trees and rocks go under water, therefore meaning more structure to cast at.

But some areas where sand banks are exposed on low tide offer the best fishing during the lower tides as this allows you to collect fresh bait (like yabbies) and use it in a place where the fish will be searching for that particular food.
