I'm keen Ian - will head over during the day on Friday and head back early arvo Sat. By the way I finally got myself a yak - got a 4.5m Scupper Pro with seat, paddle, sounder and battery for $470 delivered so extremely happy right now. Taking it down the river for a test run without rods probably Tuesday and then will work out what I need to add to it. Will have to tee up a session with you some time.

G'day Ian,

The plan is to get down there early/mid morning saturday (hopefully by about 8am)

OK, I got myself +3 coming. 2 of them would like to have a bunk (if possible).

The other 2 of us will sleep outside under the stars if weather permits. Otherwise we will pitch a small tent or sleep in the boat.

3 of us are brothers and the other is my mums boyfreind of 7+ years. We all love fishing and socialising.

We all have our own fishin gear/bait, sleeping gear, food, beer +, mozzie coils/insect repellant.

Is there anything else we should bring?

With firewood, can we collect while down there or do we have to bring some?

Cheers

Glenn

hey guys just waiting to hear back from hut secratery about the availability for weekend. i know there is someone there this week but for how long or if aready taken not sure. will get back to you all very soon ezy

for those who like a little history:

a freind of james's family recentley attended a gathering at the hut and apon her returning home and disscussing with family found out that her grand parents used to come to the hut back in the day. consiquently dug up this photo of the original hut back 1913 when it was used to graze cattle hence the name "the stockyards", even back before the pin was the pin, when it was a river system before the ocean broke thru to create passage jumpinpin.

may be heading out at early o'clock for a day out on saturday. Will drop in and say hello if I do get out. can bring over a bag of firewood if you'd like, after a gum tree at the old lady's came down in a storm last year my supplies are currently quite solid. Just let me know.

The mrs has me booked in to cook a bbq for her mates on sunday lunch otherwise I'd be out there for the night for sure!

Hi EZY,I'm a fisherman, retired, and my mate and I have been trying to find out who to contact about booking the huts etc.

We know nothing about what the arrangements are , so you would have to start from scratch. I see all communications are very old in here , and you may not even be involved at this much later date.

Finding someone with current knowledge of the huts is harder than finding out who killed Jimmy Hoffer.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Graham

Thanks mate. I will try and follow that info through.

That turned out to be a dead end mate. He wasn't know as "EZY" anyway , and that was all I had to go with. Guess I'll just have to wait till I see someone down there at the huts one day, and go ashore and get some first hand information.

Cheers

Graham

These huts are not associated with any fishing clubs they are private lease held land 1 has been in the family for over a hundred years called the stock yards as the family ran cattle there back in the day
