Both sides heavily reduced due to origin, one had to get the 2 points.

Sharks 24  vs  22 Tigers

The Tigs had a night of celebrations ahead, then lost it in the last minute.

Friday results

Warriors 21  v 14  Dogs   :)

The Dogs have not been on fire either, but it would have been brave to have tipped against the Warriors at Mt.Smart

Titans 26  v  14 Tigers   :)

One of these sides surely had to have a win :P, and one did.

Saturday results

Cowboys 14  vs  12 Panthers  :)

The Panther`s could have, but the Cowboys did.

(ref`s may have been helpful in the last 10 minutes)

Broncos 30  vs  20 Raiders   :)

The way the Raiders throw games away it`s surprising they don`t lose the 2 points in their bye rounds too.

Roosters 25  vs  24  Storm  :)

Storm young guys can hold their heads high. Chooks dug deep in last 20 minutes.

Chooks levelled in 79 minute, won it with a GP pot shot in extra time.

end round 16

Sunday results

Dragons 32  vs  28 Knights  :)

WTF….  Knights down 10-0 put on 26 points in 18 minutes to go in at half time 26-10, then Dragons come out and put on 22 points to beat the Knights by 4.

Sea Eagles 35  vs  18 Sharks  :)

Sharks had a few moments but Manly was convincingly on top for the game.

Manly have quietly climbed up the ladder, on for & against now sitting 4th

and the Sharks slowly slipping down ladder

Friday results

Titans 20  vs  10 Dragons

Good win by the Titans. The Dragons were not there in the first 40 minutes with 17 players available and down to 15 in the 2nd half, the Dragons  continued their recent slip, sliding away recent form.

Broncos 12  vs  42 Storm

There was no actual thunder, lightning nor hail, but a Big Storm descended on Suncorp.

Broncos were very ordinary last night with even their big name players dropping the ball and missing tackles. The storm had the rub of the green for sure, just like the broncos did last week, but they did play exceptionally well. You can't help but wonder at Smith's ability to control a game. Throw in the footballing brains and ability of Cronk and Slater and I think they will be hard to beat at the end of the season.  Maybe a full strength Broncos playing at their best might give them a run for their money but were a long way off last night.  Poor old Josh McGuire is probably still wondering what time is kick off.

I am not a ref basher I just want consistency, I saw the storm hold down for to long 3 players in a row, then when the storm had the ball they penalized the broncs for holding down to long in half the time. Bennetts super coaching was missing in action once again.

Saturday results

Roosters 12 vs 44 Sharks

What to say…

the only 2 teams in the comp with any real consistency are the Storm and the Tigers

Sea Eagles  26 vs  22 Warriors

Predictable outcome, the Warriors were away from Mt.Smart.

 Raiders 18  vs  31 Cowboys

I went with the thought, with the predicted -3 to -5 Canberra temp, the Cowboys would be brass monkey external attachments…. not so

So, will Munster be a new Qld centre or No.6?

Until the Cowboys game yesterday I would have said start him at number 6 and bring Morgan off the bench as an impact utility player.  Morgan played a blinder and deserves a start. I doubt DKE will get in ahead of him.

every over opiniated NSW nrl expert is all for DCE for game 3, (they wanted him for game 1, also) do they want him in for a chance to be voted NSW players player of the series :P

In all seriousness he`s had great moments for Manly in the past and, at the moment, is playing good footy again for Manly but he isn`t and wont be the only good player at NRL level who struggled/struggles with stepping up in elite company

At the present I think Morgan is so valuable as the bench utility, hard choice!

end round 17  Sunday results

Knights 12  vs  33 Tigers

in the NRL`s own publicly  billed ‘battle for the wooden spoon’ the Tigers threw their consistency out the window

 Rabbitohs 42 vs 14 Panthers

Well, for  65-70 minutes the Panthers made the Bunnies look like supermen. While leading 8-0 about 10-15 minutes into the game, the Panthers hoisted the white flag high on a flagpole.

good to see some luck go the Tigers way and they picked up the 2 points, I was worried they may have blown it!  :P

Friday results

Roosters 14  v 12  Bunnies

The only thing this game highlighted was how poorly the Panthers played in round 17….

Saturday results

Panthers 16  v  8 Sea Eagles

After last round, who would`ve thought, let alone tipped,  the black cats….

Storm  6  v 22  Eels

The Eels looked good and got the 2 points, the Storm were missing their spine, both halves, a centre and a couple of forwards and had a couple of injuries in the game.

Friday results

Warriors 22  v  34 Panthers

what can one say? SOO is over and the Warriors have fallen off their annual charge for the finals?

Raiders 18  v  14 Dragons

at 14 all this game turned into failed field goal attempts and golden point,  the Raiders finally crashed over for a try. The Dragons played with a reduced bench for much of the 2nd half.

Saturday results

Broncos  34  v  22  Knights

Congrats to the Knights, this would be the first game in a while that the Knights did not self inflict a loss on themselves, the Broncos managed to out play them.

Titans  30  v  10  Sharks

Strange game RL..... NSW can`t win with Malone, and the Sharks can`t win without him, but let`s hang Pearce anyway :P…  Sharks managed to get on the scoreboard in about the last 10 minutes.

end round 19  Sunday results

Sea Eagles 28  v  16 Tigers

DCE showed again on his day he`s an above good club half. Tigers with a renewed culture and new troops, next year should be a force.

Rabbitohs 10  v  23 Cowboys

again we saw Adani suits do not mean top end results, Bunnies should be thankful the Cowboys went into sleep mode in the back end of the  2nd half.

Broncos 42 vs 12 Bulldogs   Suncorp Stadium

Dawg gone!  The 12 points flattered them.

At stages, in the game last night, I was reminded of watching a dog lick it`s self in the middle of the road during peak hour traffic!

Friday results

Roosters 28 vs 4 Knights

everybody saying the bunker got it all wrong again, with that scoreline  it sure was a big stuff up.:P

Sharks 26 vs 12 Rabbitohs

the Sharks made hard work of the win, on the other side, the Bunnies did not deserve to be still in the game as long as they were.

Saturday results

Panthers 24 vs 16 Titans

Black cats played out a tough win, helped by a pass thrown by Taylor, intercepted and scored off by Moylan. Titans again lost a strike weapon early in the game when Hurrel did a hammy.Panthers final eight hopes still alive.

Raiders 14 vs 20 Storm

Was not the best game of footy, with Smith (precautionary, pec strain?) and Slater (stetched off after high shot, only penalty given?) off the field for final 30 minutes, the Raiders again showed how to lose a game. Storm ground out the win.

2 questions come out of this game: will Soliola play next week?

Can the Raiders beat the Bunnies next week or are they finally dead and buried for 2017?

Cowboys 24 vs 12 Warriors

Probably could be nominated as the best game of the year for ‘the battle of the forwards’. A couple of penalties here, a bounce of the ball there, along with the forward bash added to a good 80 minutes of footy.

end of round 20  Sunday results

Dragons 52 vs 22 Sea Eagles

Who would have thunk…. Dragons 30-0 half time, then Dragons 30-22, them WTF Dragons 52-22 full time.  maybe all 34 need to pee in a cup and give blood samples…..

Tigers 16 vs 17 Eels

Tigers fought hard, with Parras 15-20 minute drop offs in games can`t see them advancing in the finals if they stay in the eight.
