For years I had a fruit bowl in my wheelhouse which was always full of bananas and I often take them out to sea still to enjoy.

Yeah I often take bananas fishing - then again, I don't normally catch much so perhaps there's something in it

I've done a little myth busting experimentation with my kayaking and bananas. 

Some donut days with bananas on board  

Some good sessions,plus a Realy good one, with bananas on board.

Some bad days with donuts, wind knots and lures cast in trees with no bananas on board.

Conclusion- Bananas and bad luck have no direct correlation.

I do respect others superstion and their no banana policy.
