Slow Rolling

Spent the last 2 mornings out at NPD  and had a great time.I have been on the slow rolling technique with blades and gangbangars. Some better size bass are moving about in our area and sometimes they are hard to track down and even harder to get them to like metal yuk:lol:

Usually when fishing with blades you do the hop hop retrieve or the rip rip (like for flatties ) or the aggravated twitch, but when the bass are a bit shy slow rolling seems to work. Cast out, let it sink to the bottom, then slowly wind in keeping your lure as close to the bottom as you can for as long as you can.If its a 1/4 oz blade it starts lifting off the bottom fairly quickly, 1/2 oz stays down longer and 3/4 oz will stay close to the bottom longer still, but be carefull as you can pick up any snags that are there ( and thats not sausages )
