Outboard Servicing - Mobile Vs Workshops

Just after some recommendations for a solid marine mechanic.

 

I’ve heard that mobile blokes tend to be a hell of a lot cheaper compared to the bigger shops, but im just cautious as to how thorough a mobile person would be.

 

Engine is a 2002 merc 75hp 2 stroke

Mobile guys are no different to a shop guy.

One advantage of a mobile mechanic is they service your engine in front of you so you know what they have done.

After trying a few mechanics which on the Northside, I have stayed with Aqua marine in Clontarf and find them honest and know a lot about Yamah's.

I've done both in my last two services(first a mobile, next a shop), both did an okay job(little things they did annoyed me, mobile guy was better but not perfect), and both cost the same. Mobile guy was a little bit harder to organise, where as the shop I took it to was an easy drop off then pickup.

thanks for the advice mate. ive had a few good reviews on a mobile bloke, so ill give it a go next week.
