queensland Bugged Out

Decided to head north this morning to do some tagging as we are not allowed to tag in NPD at the moment. Out on the water and was set upon by small white flying insects, they seem to like this dam. Started getting into the bass on blades and bait but had to cut my session short as the bugs were getting under my clothes and nipping me in places you dont want to know. Last pic shows the millions of dead bugs on the water.

Which dam was this ?

Need a mosquito coil in the boat.

Baroon I have encounted them a few times now. Lucky they are not sand flies.

Some good sized fish there.

Were the spanglies hitting the bugs on the surface?

Yes there was a bit of surface action going on.

Hmmm. fly cast for rising spanglies. Match the hatch and all that.

I have caught quite a few spanglies on fly there.
