Ignored the forecasts for rain yesterday and headed out for a fish in the Pumicestone Passage hoping they got the forecast wrong. They didn't. It started off perfect until the rain started.  Managed to pick up a nice size queenfish (PB for me) on the light

gear which made it all worth the effort.

Nice work mate. Nice fish . Worth the wet.

Are Queenfish common down here now?

I'm not sure to be honest. I fish the estuaries and this is only the second one I've caught. PB since it was bigger than the first :) which went for a popper when I was targeting whiting.
