queensland Bit Of Rain Yesterday!

Ignored the forecasts for rain yesterday and headed out for a fish in the Pumicestone Passage hoping they got the forecast wrong. They didn't. It started off perfect until the rain started.  Managed to pick up a nice size queenfish (PB for me) on the light

gear which made it all worth the effort.

Yep, when the wind picked up and I was still wet it was freeeeeeeeeeeeezing. Had to head off home.

when BoM predicts a rain event for the week leading into it, their often right (not always but often)

haha that pic of the yak in the rain makes me laugh. brings back memories of being a good few kms from my launch spot when heavy rain started and having to paddle back through it agasint the wind...so I can relate to your exp haha

I'm not sure to be honest. I fish the estuaries and this is only the second one I've caught. PB since it was bigger than the first which went for a popper when I was targeting whiting.

In the last 7 tears I have caught 1 in the passage and I fish most weekends

Tears for years. I have only caught a few. I got a cracker up at the Whitsundays.

No, I was a bit lucky picking this one up. Throwing hard bodies trying for flathead when I hooked up.
