Have you tried out the 95mm sugapens? They cast a loooooong way. Good for whiting apparently if you change the hooks to a size 10. Hoping to catch a few whiting this weekend on one.

Yeah mate. Just started to use the 95mm . Havn,t had any success at this stage. Practice makes perfect.

Yep.... thats editing for you.   They love that popper . Can be a while between strikes at times.

I am 10 for 0 whiting on sugapens.... its not them its me im sure haha

I have done my best with the sugapen. Don't know if I'm getting the action wrong but the whiting just aren't hooking up. Got a few strikes but no hook ups. Went back to using a popper  and picked up a few nice ones yesterday.

nice one @fishinfox .  Were you fishing between coochin and hussey ck.  I'm almost certain I saw you out there and was anchored above you on the flats at one stage in the boat pictured below.

No, I keep a constant retrieve going. Although the biggest fish I got on the weekend took the popper when I paused to take a bite of my sandwich!!
