ROUND 19

Thursday, July 19  result

Eels 14  v  8 Bulldogs

Dogs gawn!... before June 30 deadline and more at end of season 😎

Friday, July 20  results

Sharks 28  v  24 Raiders

What controversial call?  while the ball is ‘in play’ only the ref`s whistle can halt the play... no whistle, play on 😐

Broncos 50  v  18 Panthers

Fancy that...  final score, if the Broncos had not clocked off a few times in the second half, they could have got to 70. 😶

I must be getting old and cranky, I cant stand the milking, it spoils the game, especially when the ref gives a penalty to the milker when the tackler has done nothing to them. They also need to penalize players that continually move forward of the mark, you see them step around the tackler and the ref does nothing. End of rant.

Saturday, July 21  results

Knights 30  v  24 Titans

Considering where these 2 sides sit on the ladder this was a well fought out game.

Tigers 22  v  6 Rabbitohs

Well done Tigers. This game questions the depth of the Bunnies 2018 desires?

Cowboys 10  v  24 Dragons

Cowboy fans should be questioning the Cowboys resolve with that defeat on home soil, against an under strength Dragons side

It was very disappointing to hear about the overly heavy handed security at Brookvale Oval on Sunday. Two young Manly fans were caught climbing over the wall on the Hill side. Security grabbed them and forced them back in to watch the rest of the game. 😄

Thursday, July 26  result

Broncos 12  v  10 Sharks

Closely fought game, with both sides being error prone at times. At least one dodgy ref call each way. Broncos took advantage of their call, and won by defending a 2 point lead from the Sharks who had 3 repeat sets on their line  in the last few minutes. The Sharks had their opportunities.

Friday, July 27  results

Cowboys 20  v  18 Knights

Knights were the better team on the night. Very sussy final pass to Cooper at the 78 minute mark, gave the Cowboys the win.

Bulldogs 16  v  4  Tigers

The mutts actually gave a bark and the Tiggers couldn`t even raise a furball choked miaow

Agreed @Gad, but the penalty against Linnet for a shoulder charge was one of many unbelievably bad decisions in that game. That led to a try to the Knights so maybe some justice there, although I think the pass was backwards out of the hands. The Cowboys sure are clunky this year but still going better than the refs.

Saturday, July 28  results

Sea Eagles 24  v  28 Panthers

Rabbitohs 26  v  20 Eels

Storm 44  v  10 Raiders

nothing surprising in any of the results, apart from the question: are the Bunnies dropping after their mid season, up the ladder burst or are the Eels slightly improving as they start putting their 'Mad Monday' plans in place??

Sunday, July 29  results

Titans  36  v  12 Warriors

Titan fans are glad and Warrior fans are sad.

Roosters 36  v  18 Dragons

The Storm are storming and the Roosters are ****-a-doodle- dooing  themselves to a grand final showdown, while the Saints and a few other hopefuls are marching in reverse to a different beat.

Bulldogs 36  v  22 Broncos

Frawley and Lewis stood out for the Doggies and helped make the Broncos look and play like lame donkeys for most of the game.

WAAAHHHH!! We was robbed I tells ya!!!!

That short drop out was... rubbish...

That spectacular try with the cut out pass and infield kick was... spectacular

And this guy

Oh well one small speed bump on the way to winning the final.

Saturday, August 4  results

Dragons 12  v  18 Warriors

a Dragon`s 1st half  sin binning allowed the Warriors to defend 18 points for a win.

Eels 28  v  12 Titans

Hayne obviously decided he`d best put in to get some interest for another contract.

Roosters 26  v  20 Cowboys

Just when one feels the Roosters are a grand final team, they let a seriously out of form team come back at them...

ROUND 21

Sunday, August 5 results

Sharks 32  v  33 Sea Eagles

The Sharks made  Manly look good.

Panthers 40  v  31 Raiders

Sticky will soon have a new pre-season to convince his troops there really is a 2nd 40 minutes to play, in each game.

I watched most of the games on the weekend and the inconsistency of the refs stood out a mile.

Head high, about one in ten pulled up

To slow to clear the tackled player, storm the worst, ref needs to call held then count 1,2,3 and any one still holding on penalized.

Milking, refs need to start penalizing the milker. Players flop down after tackler moves away and get a penalty.

Friday, August 10 results

Warriors 20  v  4 Knights

When they settled the Warriors forwards layed the platform for their backs

Rabbitohs 14  v  18 Roosters

The Roosters resolve and defence showed why they will get to the grand final, by smothering Cook and the Bunnies power game.

Going to be a good finals series - Roosters are going well but with them, Souths (who were minus a bloke named Inglis last night plus lost their fullback in the first 3 minutes) and the Storm all in top form, only two can make the final. Oh and one mustn't forget that @Drop Bear's Bronco's will (probably) be in the finals race too ..

Saturday, August 11  results

Titans 16  v  17 Panthers

are the Panthers barely surviving, on a diminishing oxygen supply

Sea Eagles 18  v  6 Bulldogs

apart from the tippers with both teams planning for their Mad Monday`s and sitting 13 and 14th on the ladder, did anyone care who won?

Eels 40  v  4 Dragons

for the third season in a row the Dragons are in a  free-fall down the leader board. May be both teams should have been drug tested for their first 18 rounds of performances?

yes, I realise that Kelvin. over the years with or with out Inglis Souths have won and lost in relation to the ladder. The year Souths won the GF they marched to it with their key play maker Adam Reynolds and the bash and barge of the Burgess brothers. When injuries and bad form started to hit Reynolds after that season Souths struggled. This time around their key momentum maker is Cook and the Burgess brothers are still their go forward. None of the top sides are intimidated by the Burgess clan any more and the Roosters showed by shutting down Cook and out lasting the Burgess clan, their attack is on par with everyone else on the day.
