Grand Final Day     Sunday, September 30

All matches shown live on Ch 9

NRL Holden Women's Premiership Grand Final 2018
Brisbane Broncos vs. Sydney Roosters, ANZ Stadium, 1.35pm EST

NRL Intrust Super State Championship 2018  NSW Cup Premiers vs. QLD Cup Premiers, ANZ Stadium, 3.40pm EST

Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs  V  Redcliffe Dolphins

NRL Telstra Premiership Grand Final Sydney 2018
Sydney Roosters vs. Melbourne Storm, ANZ Stadium, 7.20pm EST, ANZ Stadium

So... I have a confession...

I know the results. There is no need to watch the games this weekend.

I had a visit from the Ghost of Frank Burge from the Glebe Dirty Reds last night while I was reading Sam Thaiday's new book sitting on the toilet.

https://www.9now.com.au/today/2018/extras/clips/clip-cjk8z5jjk00050rltui8m4tzd

He said that the winners are;

Broncos 🏆

Redcliffe 🎉

Melbourne 🍾

Being from Sydney Frank cant be exaggerating things. I wish he had told me the margins... I cant blame him he was a vexed specter when he saw my pecker...

:(  :(  Very sad. Only a couple of rep games to go. Cricket starts 7 October I think. Small mercies.

Got back from camping today (managed to not hear/find out the result) so my son and I watched it this arvo. Shame Billy didn't get his fairy-tale farewell but the Roosters deserved it and good to see Cronk get rewarded for his toughness.

Well done Brian on your dominant win and a big thanks to @Gad for his usual fantastic commentary/summary during the season - much appreciated.  Going to be weird watching footy without JT and Billy next year 😞

yes, very sad... I have to hang in to late December for the Summer of WTA fashion parades to start for my post/pre footy sport interests to start peaking again. 🙁

Kiwis 26 defeat the Kangaroos 24. The score line probably flattered Australia given how many mistakes they made.  Shows what happens when you have too many Blues in the team, including a few of the most overrated players in the NRL (we all know who they are). One narrow series win and the selectors think the Blues are the answer. Reminds me a bit of the last time the kiwis won when we arrogantly sent a B side over to NZ and got flogged.

Having said all that (with a bit of tongue in cheek) I thought Mitchell was the Kangaroo’s best and the Kiwis played a near perfect game. And I can’t even blame the referee, which kinda takes the fun out of losing.

Congrats to the Junior Kangaroos and the Jillaroos for holding up their end of the bargain.  Ahh, rugby league - the greatest game of all!

Junior Kiwis 24  v  40 Junior Kangaroos

Kiwi Ferns 24  v 26 Jillaroos

New Zealand 26  v  24 Australia

scoreline was kind to aussies, 2 more likely than not, Kiwi tries disallowed by bunker rulings

If DCE had been leader of the Israelites, they would still be wandering the wilderness, aimlessly filling in time.

 Next Saturday 20 Oct.

Aussies  v  Tonga  Televised 4.30pm Qlder time... 5.30 pm Eskimo time

A better showing by the 'new look' Aussies dampened most of the Tongan tenderising game plan. Tonga did not play up to the standard they showed in last years World Cup.

How was the music they played throughout the second half! Also they played a chant over the speakers just as he was about to attempt a conversion.
