queensland Foggy Start Npd 25/2/18.

It was a bit foggy when we launched but not enough to stop the stench of the pelican poop on the ramp. Last time I was there there was only 6 of them there but they were all back again.

I do not mind when it is foggy as it normally indicates a great windless day.

The fish were a bit hard to find at first and Tim acquainted himself with a forky spine which gave him curry all day

We found plenty of small bass around the float so moved to the far marker and displaced Dino and found more small bass so back to the float area where the small bass and the odd yella were hungry.

Sprung a few blokes in yaks who were up to no good on the island. They may have even setting up a camp as they  disappeared into the trees for quite a while before they came back to the bank and started to fish from the shore.

 I was tempted to remove their yaks to the mainland for safekeeping.

Knocked off arround midday with 120 odd bass,4 yells, 8 forkies and one tilapia.

120 bass is a good day at the office. Some good looking yellas too.

Around 47cm.

Forgot to say Tim spotted a deer right next to the ramp on the way home, and this bloke doesnt know where the boundary marker is.

naagh - probably just thought SEQ Water had kept their word about extending the fishing zone .......

Great report mate. That's a solid total! I'd love to see a deer while fishing.

wow well its that time of year. Easter is antler time. I hope the bass and yellas are eating lots of the small tillys.
