 Bass need brackish water to spawn and he official spawning season does not commence till 1st june.

Rick and Mark took 4 fish home last trip and they were all males and already full of milt so it looks like a early spawning season this year.

If the dam spills most of the bass will attempt to go downstream and over the wall.

Do you chase them downstream after a spill?

I dont but plenty do. Youngs crossing or behind tthe historical village are popular spots. Probably quite a few fish there already as Kurwongbah has had frequent spills this year and they work their way there from Sidleing Creek.
