Hi all,

I'm Ad, from Scotland UK. i do a lot of kayak fishing and shore fishing for species hunting in the sea lochs and cliffs in scotland. I have wangled a conference in Perth next week, and am taking the next 2 weeks to work myself up the west coast to Exmouth, and then back down again. Really looking forward to getting a good number of new species on the list, and chucking some big baits off the beach at night.

wondering if any of you guys are at Geraldton, Carnarvon, Coral bay, or exmouth and fancy any company on any kind of trip out! I will have my own gear and quite happy to pay fuel etc if you are planning a boat trip. also happy to be a courier for anyones favorite single malts- but let me know what your preference is before friday!  and of course happy to escort any return trips to scotland, though i dare say you might be disappointed in the fishing....

hopefully meet some of you in the next couple weeks!

Man I wish you were coming to Brisbane 🙂

You are gonna LOVE Ningaloo! Amazing place with so many species on offer. There are some big brutes out there. If you snag a GT hold on tight 🙂. I loved the little Charlie Court. A prolific Cod species. Heaps of Golden Trevally and Emperor species.

Man stay in touch as well!

I took my rod last time I did little highland road trip and managed a few trout.

Spent a bit of time on Skye chasing mackerel but was limited to saltwater as all fresh on Skye is fly only.

Keen to hit Lewis as it seems more accomadating to chasing salmonoinds on spin.

We love internatinal reports here as well if you are ever keen.

Being from Brisbane I cannot be of much technical help but good luck!

sweet! the north west of scotland is where i go for my domestic trips, have some good fun with our spurdogs (sharks lucky to break double figures) with light gear off the kayak up there. also in that area is where we fish for our skate off the shore, they reach ~240 lbs and are a hell of a job to get up with our beach gear from 100 metres down!

yes, unfortunately it is mostly fly only round here. though near me is a small water where anything goes. i gave it a good go last year and finally got me a decent salmon! most of my fishing is east coast rocks for cod in winter, the bigger swell the better!

Awesome mate.

I do not run the Wynnum Whiskey Page but I am a member (although pretty inactive at the moment due to life but looking forward to catching up 😛 ).

As said saty in touch and give us some more Scottish reports would be cool to see and let us know if you ever get over this side.
