Hello , im new to this forum , im going to head out saturday or sunday for my first trip using a boat , im staying close around just so i can gain confidence , i want to fish the albert / logan Junction , i know there are bullies there , but what other sort of fish can be caught around that area.

I have only been there once years a go and caught, jew, whiting, flathead, bream.

id imagine that you could catch a lot of saltwater species there (bream, flathead, whiting, jacks, trevally, threadies, jew, cod etc etc). It would come down to what you're wanting to target

if it was me, id have a variety of baits and steups out to see what works and what catches what. 

me personally, id be gunning for sharks at this time of year. No better light tackle sports fish in the river systems in my opinion

I need to go for a shark fishing trip soon. This Wynnum Fishing Classic is taking over my life  In a good way but not a fishing way.

That area might be a good option for the fishing comp this weekend. You can hide from the wind and plenty of species on offer.

ill be in that , didn't get out on the weekend because of crappy weather but am heading there this Saturday as the forecast now looks great

Cast net for some livies to target Jewies on the slack tide. While u wait target bream on prawns or flick some plackies for flatties (drifting)

hehy wondering how you went at the junction? ive fished there many times and only ever caught bullies, rays and cat fish there......also muddies are good around the banks aswell. ive found all the other spieces jacks, flatties etc have all been out towards the mouth alot more.

Heyas sorry forgot to update , went a couple weeks ago got some nice flathead but further down from the junction closer to the mouth , there were some bullies at the junction but was chasing flathead , next outing will be setup for a cpl bullies though for some fun
