I was drenched at the ramp before I even got into the boat. I headed off downstream and when I reached the first corner I nearly got blown out of the boat. So I looked for a sheltered spot and put a few baits down. By the time I got to thirty, I had had enough, so headed back up the dam. I then noticed a few fish on the sounder so stopped for another hour bringing the tally up to 46 bass and 7 yellas and I was amazed at how yellow the yellas were

The real yellow ones are the smokers apparently.

The black pudding was so black, even the white bits were black. 

Oh i mean the yellas were so yella even the yealla bits were yella.

The dam  has risen by about a foot looks like it was enough to bring the yellas upstream

Kobble creek may have been worth a look for some bass.

Dam at 80.4% at 0230 pm this afternoon, has gone up a couple of % with the rain.

What level do they spill?

Automatic spill at 90 % to keep 10% for flood mitigation.

IMO it's a feel good gesture as if we get flood event rain, the 10% is fairly meaningless.

People aslo forget how much water spills out of Kurwongbah.
