queensland Gold Coast Canals

looking to hit up the Gold Coast canals soon for some Bull Sharks.

Has anyone here ever done this?

If so any advice.

I would land based i imagine.

Oi angus i havent fished there but i have heard some of the cnaals have little amounts of sharks and others have heaps i work with a mate who fishes down there so i'll ask him and i will send u the details.

:evil: Dont know personally about the Gold Coast canals for sharks. I have heard it can be good at the entrance to them, aswell as in some of the older canals.I do remember that Bribie island canals were never short of them though, but thats not going to help you down there.

Yeha i have heard the older canals as well due to the fact that juveniles went up there but with all the locks and pipes etc are no permenent residents. However they have kept geowing. I am going to go there at some stage, maybe ill wait till its hotter again and just sit on the side of one all night with some eel out or something. Im sure there would be rays and other vermin as well.

a few people got attacked there a few years ago buy big bullies so not to say theres no sharks in there... or big sharks... ive only realy fished the canals there once and caught a moray eel and a sting ray

yeah i herd there good bully fishing in the chanels in the gold coast why not give it ago some time its worth a try
