The NSW squad will this morning resume their search at Suncorp Stadium

for the Qld tryline. Captain Danny Buderus was mystified by the

disappearance. 'We thought we found it at the 50 minute mark when we

were standing behind it, but then realised by that time we were running

in the opposite direction.'

The search was temporarily called off late last night when the stadium's

cleaning staff begged the players to go home so that they could catch

what was left of the replay on Fox.

In other news, Blues centre Mark Gasnier was presented with the game

ball in the sheds after the match. It was an emotional reunion for the

pair who hadn't seen each other all night.

And finally NSW management have filed a missing persons report for

forward Willie Mason. 'To be honest, I thought he'd missed the flight

up here' Coach Bellamy insisted, 'But I have heard from various people

watching the telecast, namely my wife and other dribblers who spent the

whole second half watching the game from the stadium's bar, that he was

spotted a number of times sitting on the bench.'

It is expected the Blues will resume their search for the tryline at

first light this morning.
