  1. south queensland Red Emperor Murray Cod Pigs And Deer

A mate of mind took some of the pork from our last trip, they are okay if they come off grain country, but all 3 pigs were shot within 300 yards of a dead cow that they had been eating. Cod come out of some pretty special country in my books. One of my favourite to chase.
  2. south queensland Red Emperor Murray Cod Pigs And Deer

Yeah they came from bova chemist down in sydney but apparently they do not make them anymore. Keen to come anytime Wayne, just limited during the week. Longies were a while ago now.
  3. south queensland Red Emperor Murray Cod Pigs And Deer

4 hours for me, but get all those things within 30 minutes of Brisbabe
  4. south queensland Red Emperor Murray Cod Pigs And Deer

Yeah Jeremy still has the 4 seasons but think it will be gone towards the end of the year. I normaly try getting up to within 20 yards to test myself and limit the possibility of missing. All the pigs where shot from within 25 yards. The billy was more like 40 yards.
  5. Hey Guys and Gals, Bit of viewer discretion (DEAD THINGS)! Been a long time between posts, so Dumping it all at once. With work being crazy i have been taking any advantage of spare time i can get. First trip was off DI with a mate, after years of getting sea sick i finally got put onto some tablets that actually work and don't make me drowsy allowing me to do an overnight-er 40km off Fraser Island. And was stoked to land my very first Red Emperor going 14KG, and what beasts of fish these guys are. Second Trip was down south to a private property with its own river with some of the last privately owed river. We managed some healthy cod out of ankle deep water which was absolutely awesome to see. Managed one on surface before chucking on the spinner bait for the rest of the day. Viewers Disretion I have been hunting for a long time and late last year i decided to give Bow Hunting a go, over the past few months i have managed a few Goats but my main goal was to knock a few pigs with it. Over the weekend i managed to Knock 3 Decent pigs with the bow. I must say bowhunting has taught me a lot of patients. I have bunched in a few photos, Forgot to get a before photo, so this is the venison Here are a few other fishing photos from the past few months also. Will Try post more frequently to shorten the reading, Cheers

  7. Jew Squid And Deer

A lot of people are not educated on what the feral's actually do the farmers property and stock... so I just cover myself haha. your welcome any time mate you know that... We dressed it in the field and hung it in the farmers cold room for the few days we were there and then took all the meat we could. Cooked the back straps the other day... Delicious! thanks Tugger, Jew are definitely a favourite... wish I could catch them like some of the other boys do. another month and bambie will be ready for your cooking
  8. Jew Squid And Deer

Viewers discretion... Been a while between reports again. Went out a Few weeks with a mate, I installed some pool Equipment for him and in return he took me out for a fish to chase some Jew. Morning started off pretty good with 2 Jew fish hitting the deck mine was first on board after Jamal picked the school up on structure scan and put us in the spot i dropped a white 5" zman down on my Nordic stage dynamic 7'7 and hooked and landed a nice 84cm jew which put up a nice fight. After a quick photo Jamal found the school and this time pick himself up a nice jew on jig going a little bigger than the first. rest of the day was a bit of struggle when the electric had some minor issues and we couldn't use it anymore. 2 weeks ago i took my brother and Damine2... out for a fish in hope of some snapper instead the fishing was incredibly slow and we couldn't buy a bite. I ended up dropping a nice golden... after that we decided to get a feed of squid. we managed to get 8(?) which was nice. sadly we did not sipatch them properly and they eneded up rather chewy. Viewers Discretion And finally last weekend Jeremy and I headed to a property i have been going to for years, and for some reason this time i had the desire for Venison. As we where pulling up to the farmers gate we saw a few Fallow in the paddock right next to the house grazing on the oates. We went and checked in with the cocky and watch the first half of the Broncos and he said he was pretty over these deer smashing his oates. So we went back out to the ute and set up. 200 meters down the road and i had my first deer. Tried my first bit of back strap last night and i am now hooked. A fella that was there the week before with his dogs managed a Beauty of a pig Sorry if these photos offend you... but thought i would share Cheers Chris
  9. Barramundi Shakes, Tinnie Ratz Trip

Yeah @Luvit I am sure I have had the shakes with other fish but this fish got me going real good haha. I have some new sea sickness tablets to try, but I think that day i was out with you was the worst it has ever been. Misjudged everything that day. And kwells send shivers down my spine happens everytime.
  10. For the last 4 years I have said this year is the year of catching my first Barra.... A few of us decided to head back up to the creek we hit late last year to have another crack at some new species. Jeremy and myself left Brisbane at midday hoping to get on the water just before last light and on the high tide, but due to a radiator hose splitting we where set back and hour (Thanks to Mazda Gympie for fixing that one so quick) also managed to get the last hose in Australia. We managed to arrive just on dark and pack the boat and get out to camp and set up. ONTHECHEW and another two mates met us out the mouth the next morning after a quick morning session with no luck. We then managed to get the boats stuck for 4 hours on the sand which was a pretty restless time (never again). After a spear in some very mercy water we head out and hit the reefs for quite a few under size reefies. We held out heads kinda high and looked for tomorrow. Next morning Jeremy and i head up the creeks and Andrew and the others headed offshore to try there luck. The water was incredibly dirty and the boys offshore got a window of opportunity where the water cleared up and the Spanish came on. Something like 20 plastics and jig heads where lost and 3 Spanish where landed. Matt missed out on a solid GT. Andrew also landed a solid Queenie just going shy of the meter mark. SOOOO after 4 years and a few trips I finally got to tango. We waited for the outgoing tide to get the fish to come out of the mangroves where we could here them smashing bait behind. The water really started to smash out when finally some mullet got pushed out of a mangrove and i took a cheeky cast in there direction and two hops of the Jackall Transom and i was onto my first ever Barramundi. And what a fish they are, with 3 screaming runs i could feel it tossing and turning under the water and dislodged one of the trebles. Lucky for me it didn't and Jeremy landed my first ever barra going 86cm in the net. I couldn't believe it but i had the shakes which i have never had before with any fish. We didn't manage to catch many other fish which we suspect was from the clarity of the water however that is fishing. We ended up heading home Saturday afternoon as wind was due to pick up and the billions of midges were getting a little tiring. Planning the next trip for when the midges are a little less thick. Sorry that took so long. cheers Chris. P.S Queenie pic to come. p.ss. sorry to Jeremy for getting sea sick.
  11. Bit of everything

12kg tuna is better the a 0kg tuna @samsteele115 in my books. @kmcrosby78 north of Brisbane!

  13. Bit of everything

So been a fair while since I have done a report so he is an all in one, mainly photos. Will start with Aus day going out with Jeremy for a quick tuna run, managed one tuna on the MB custom 114/50gram in flying fish. Jeremy had a cracking hook up on the same lure in pink but fish popped the hook on the first blistering run. We also did a trip up north fishing the creeks, packed the swags and slept where ever we could find. managed a nice trout and a golden, both on the Nordic stage pro. Have also been out in the fresh water, Got a 67cm Murray cod on the jackal Pompadour on the Dynamic 7'7 Also went down to Armidale to fish with my cousin in the fresh, I only chucked surface for the day and got a nice 47cm bass and a few small sizes, and what some nice country it is down there. Have a lot more trips to add. Cheers Chris
