  1. Randomly going through my 4800+ unopened email and came across a message notification from a member.. well just a friendly gday and hopefully I can pull my finger out and posting again cheers Kurt
  2. Hi Boy's I a getting ready for the weather & water to warm up a bit & will target Bull Sharks for the first time.My plan is to catch a few catfish & hook them towards the tail as im told the bullies take the tail first. My Question is if I suspend a few under balloons what depth would u suggest? Many thanks in advance for any tip's etc,Wayne..

  3. I might try and pick your brain soon too Kurt - hoping to go there in the next couple of weeks. Was tempted yesterday as weather was good but had 3 in my tinny (30hp) and a late start so decided it wasn't worth it for the short-ish time period. Are the schoolies around all year but just more of them in summer, or basically just over summer? And is there just one measured mile beacon or two? Good luck Chris, looking forward to the report. Mate, more than happy to help Give me a call or txt The schoolers were around last winter, not heaps but they were around
  4. With ease mate I used to take my 3.8m to moreton on good days It's approx 7-9km from the mouth of the river Flick me a txt a I will tell you how to catch the macs their Also take a shark rod and when the macs go if the bite, fish for sharks. I usually turn the mackerel into whole baits lol I will also tell you exactly where to anchor on each tide
  5. either put the smaller ones out whole or the larger ones cut in half or fillet them
  6. my wife would love me to bring home a 3rd dog, but my 2 girls domino and make ( staffies ) would not like it one bit.
  7. i have sharked all threw that area. Bullies are most common but you will catch duskies, hammers tiger and a few other whaler species. Myself, grrenmachine, nook, rosstralia and sharklady did our final trip of the season late may half way up the island. Got on huge hook up where I nearly got spooled on a penn inta 80w. Got busted of on coffee rock. Try and stick to your warmer months, you will have more success, not saying you won’t catch sharks during winter, it just slows rite down
  8. well i have got a stupid amount of gear so its very hard to choose from as they all have differant purposes, so hear is 2

The Arrogance of Authority A DEA officer stopped at a ranch in Texas , and talked with an old rancher. He told the rancher, "I need to inspect your ranch for illegally grown drugs." The rancher said, "Okay , but don't go in that field over there.....", as he pointed out the location. The DEA officer verbally exploded saying, " Mister, I have the authority of the Federal Government with me !" Reaching into his rear pants pocket, the arrogant officer removed his badge and proudly displayed it to the rancher. "See this bloody badge?! This badge means I am allowed to go wherever I wish.... On any land !! No questions asked or answers given!! Have I made myself clear......do you understand ?!!" The rancher nodded politely, apologized, and went about his chores. A short time later, the old rancher heard loud screams, looked up, and saw the DEA officer running for his life, being chased by the rancher's big Santa Gertrudis bull...... With every step the bull was gaining ground on the officer, and it seemed likely that he'd sure enough get gored before he reached safety. The officer was clearly terrified. The rancher threw down his tools, ran to the fence and yelled at the top of his lungs..... (I just love this part....) "Your badge, show him your bloody BADGE........ ! !"
  10. no#1 main spot and most axcessable no#2 i used to fish this spot yrs ago when my ex used to ride horses and got afew on live podies. no3# hendersons street park. now i may have spots mixed up but their either is or used to be a boat ramp their or i am thinking of another spot if i think of some other i will post. it is much better to fish the incoming tide as it is very shallow at low tide. live podies, bony bream and eel are my choices of bait. their are alot of caties in the area so if you use flesh baits, they will get picked to bits good luck mate
  11. mate it does hook at times mate. and as for spots give me a min and i will put a map up
  12. mate their is heaps up their, infact i have caught them as far up as buckley road north maclain another 6-10 away. since the floods, their are alot of snags. use same tec as anywhere else.
