A Day Fishing the Bay Islands

Just had a great day out with Moreton Bay Fishing Charters and thought it deserved a post. Got picked up at 6.30 from Redland Bay and headed out to the bay islands, after 20 min. Sean our skipper sounded out a couple of marks to see if it was worth a drift. First cast , the line keeps running off the reel, Iflick the bale arm over and I`m on. Definate head knocks and 10 min. later we land a 57 cm. Snapper a PB and on plastics! over the moon to say the least. After a few more drifts a few undersize fish come into the boat and Sean decides its time for a move. Fifteen min. later we arrive at his next mark. A few more undersize fish , and then a few keepers around the 40 - 50cm. range.including a 39 cm. Tarwhine. It went quite around lunch then all of a sudden i get a hit and line starts screaming off as it takes its first run. As line is peeling off I start to see the backing on the reel and think I might not see this one. Slowly after what seemed like ages a nice 73cm. Jew comes into the boat, my 1st and so another PB! After a few more fish and a chew off from a nice Tailor its time to head home. what a great day. If any of you guys want a good day out ,on the bay with a guy whose willing to share his knowledge and expertise,in my opinion you cant go far wrong wiyh Sean and Moreton Bay Fishing C harters.
