    I've only caught smaller ones (up to 80cm) and they display spectacular aerial acrobatics and often bite you off. Terrible eating but excellent bait! I'm keen to hear what the OP says that whopper played out like!

    I'm trying to remember what creek mouth you're standing at. That is a monster of a pike. Plenty of bait all round now!
