  1. Wondering if there are any plumbers here... I have a fridge and dishwasher that need to be plumbed in. Basically all that's needed is a hole to be drilled through tile and connections made under the house with a tap added to copper piping and drainage attached. Needing it done before next Monday if possible!!
  2. Hi gang So I spent close to 7 hours erecting my 5x5x5x5 shade sail on Sunday... Only to find it a hot mess on Monday morning! Previously I installed it at my previous home with 2 X anchors attached o the house and 2 X Copperlogs cemented in the ground. This property has a different set up and cannot be attached to the house, the yard is slanted and basically I used a screw in post support and clearly the weigh and stretch was too great for my shortcut post support and I will need to dig the hole and cement a post in. So... My question is: is anyone in this trade? I am after 2 X hardwood posts approx 3-4m in length OR 2 X steel posts. Cost is the main issue. Also around 4 bags of cement. Hate to be a charity case but it's always worth asking around, there could be excess timber or posts on a job you're working or you have lying around. Ideally I'd love to put up a pergola/carport style structure and bee keeping an eye out for used ones online. Any constructive comments appreciated! Many thanks!!

  17. I'm a bit fed up with walking into a mechanic shop and having their eyes light up and costs sky-rocket when they hear my yankee accent. I've been doing as much of my own work as I can, but there are some jobs that I just don't have the tools or time to do. So I'm looking for somebody who wants to earn a bit of extra cash once in awhile doing the odd vehicle repair. I'm not looking to make you my personal mechanic or the person I call to come fix the car RIGHT NOW because I NEED it tomorrow, nor am I going to be asking you to do engine rebuilds, tune-ups, or anything that could do some serious damage if done wrong. To give an indication, a couple of the jobs I need done at the moment include replacing the seals on the steering gear box and replacing an idler pulley (I also need to put on a new muffler, but I'll take that to the muffler shop most likely). You don't have to be a certified mechanic, just know what you are doing and be reasonable with your pricing requests. I will supply all parts you just need to supply the tools and know-how. If interested, send me a PM and we can discuss. Cheers.
