anyone know what the deal is with this fish

Got this bass the other day it has these red spots all over it anybody got any idea what it is or what causes it?

maybe its just going through puberty, got a bit of acne

It's probably had the op and the hormone treatment is just starting to kick in. Soon will be a squire. That could explain why they're turning up in unusual places;) :whistle:

Then again maybe it's a result of stress (like you see in threadies) ??

i vaguely remember some one asking neil about this on fish caught from a inpoundment and i think he said it had somehting to do with the water quality but i could be wrong.

I haven't really noticed any of the impoundment fish getting those types of sores. It's usually the 'wild' ones in the rivers/brackish and along the lines of what kriso said, it has to do with water quality and recent rainfall.
