Bat size

Hopeing someone can help me out the young bloke wants santa to bring him a beach cricket set but santa does not know what size bat a kid 135cm would need mrs santa found some with size 6 bats please help santa out if you understand these things:P

Azza when my kids were into cricket the sports stores suggest the way to pick the right size is to grab a bat that feels good and have the kid stand straight with hands / arms at the side. With the toe of bat at the side of his foot, the top of the handle should reach the kids wrist just above the joint.

If he gets serious about the sport.Desipte all the rage (peer pressure)leaning towards a heavy bat its better to look for a bat that is light enough to swing comfortably as timing is everything.

English willow is better than cashmere willow but more $$$$$. is you do shell out the big $$$ have it pressed (hammered in), get s toe guard on it and perhaps the clear films across the face to protect it
