me and a mate decided to fish the pine over the weekend knocked off work friday and raced home loaded the boat up and were at the ramp by 4:30:woohoo:

With 8 pots dropped loaded up with fresh mullet we made the run down to dholes rocks for our first fish, with a shovel nose caught and released and nothing else decided to make a run up river, the river was blue with jelly fish! with nothing much going on up there either we checked the pots and were rewarded with a muddy and a sandy:cheer:

headed back up to the bridge for another fish and bang bang 2 nice bream 34 and 33 then nothing for the rest of the night. Checked the pots on the way back and nothing but jelly fish:angry:

not a bad trip appart from the jellys afew bream and crabs and beers. cant beat it!

The river was pretty nice this morning before the wind got up. Had the yak out for a paddle. Was leisurely heading up stream against the tide to build a bit of endurance. when I saw the first squall coming in off the bay I headed back to the ramp, unfortunately in to a 20 knot easterly!

But I saw something up towards Deep Water Bend busting up on the surface, big splashes, moving fast across the water, probably in an area about 10m across about 500m ahead of me. Sort of made me regret my decision to not do any fishing from the yak until I can paddle a reasonable distance!
