after not going for a fish last night, but checking the pots, and finding some crab, the pots were left out again, but moved a little, so i wake up at 11.15 this morning and i ring my mates , lets get these bloody things, so we go and check em and bingo, more crab, then we went for a bit of a cruise and checked them on the way back to the ramp and even more, but undersize, so we took the pots, only a couple, so i've got to put new ropes on my 6 pots and we are gonna give it a good go with the 3 of us and 12 pots, so if ya want crab, get out there, sinking them is best, that way you can leave them out for a couple of days at a time

Watch out for fisheries you will get fined for sinking pots with no floats. It isnt a good practice as its is very easy to loose them and that unnecessarily kills whatever you trap in them and if the water is shallow creates a navigation hazard and can destray some poor buggers prop. I have done 2 props in Tinny creek from sunken pots.

Cheers

Ray
