Had the day off yesterday so a mate and I decided to head off for a fish in the river. Launched at Breakfast Creek just after lunch and headed upstream to Norman Creek. Fished a majority of the run-in tide and caught a total of one seriously undersized bream.

After six hours of flicking plastics and hard bodies in the creek, we decided to pull up the electric motor and head downstream to fish a few of the rock walls.

We arrived at the first wall just at the top of the tide and the fish were there in numbers. Within the hour, we had caught the following bream -

Soft plastics accounted for most of the fish.

Headed back to the boat ramp just before the wind picked up and had a comfortable and smooth trip back.

Another fun trip in the brissie river.

The plastics that did the damage were an assortment of powerbaits and gulp -

2" minnow grub powerbait in bloodworm & pink lemonade

3" minnow powerbait in pink lemonade & watermelon

3" minnow gulp in smelt & pumpkinseed

2" minnow grub gulp in watermelon & pumpkinseed

jighead wise, I was using 1g to 2g in size 2 & 4 depending on the current.

Hope this helps in your plastics adventure...

Cheers,

Shaun.
