decided to chuck a sickie today and head down to the well,damn glad i did got 9 bream and a cod..plus i got a barra!no shit...if anyone noes how to resize these damn pix il be glad to email u the barra pic...he was leagal and fat n healthy..obviously he was put back to grow in to a breeder so we can have more barra around...not to mention its closed season

yeah its been near on a year since ive caught a barra in the wild,that was when i was back up home west of mackay

I thought so, but bear in mind barra are relatively new to this part of the neighbourhood and they're typically nowhere as aggressive during the colder months are they are in the summer months, ie feeding wise.

So I'd expected to see them start to build up their condition from now til the end of summer / mid autumn ... but i guessing

my post wasnt questioning the credibility of the angler or the poster at all. just wanted some verification on pic quality and if that hue was visible to everyone as ive been having some graphic visual issues lately .... so is it ...???

I belive ya mate;) , Why I got bored after work today and thought I have a fish for Eels in Carindale Creek. Imagine my surprize when I landed a couple of these beauties:woohoo: :woohoo:

it's all in the eyes and the fins

fresh v iced for any length of time

the three in jaysons pic are fresh look at how

he eyes glow under a flash camera and the fins are translucent

that one in the other pics has been dead and on ice for ages its right eye is all cloudy and the pectoral fins have lost thier translucence

I only Googled// oops I mean took that photo a hour or 2 ago. They where still fresh as daiseys:kiss:

They say jealousys a curse and boys you've all been cursed,your very welcome to go down to the store at the well and ask the women there cos I was talking to her..as for it's eye being cloudy it was blind in that eye...I wasn't looking for anything but to share my info and catch with ya all..we've all heard stories of barra down there and I thought I'd put a pic to the actual catch for once.yous can beleve what ever yas want but at the end of the day I know I caught a barra at Jacobs well and have a pic of it to unlike most of u that say I got one but didn't have a camera...and why on earth would I take a frozen one out of the freezer and make a bogus report?I think this will be the last time I even think of posting a thread with what I caught and where,try to do the right thing and get shot down,I don't have too make bull shit stories up to impress no one let alone ppl I don't even know...thanks for insinuating I'm a bull shit artist,as I said jealousy is a curse....

However i do doubt the fact that the fish in the Picture was released to grow into a breeder.

That fish was not going to swim any way other than belly up.

Well I must of been dreaming when I saw him swim away...think what yas want I know what damn well happened and what I said is lagit..I won't bother sharing anymore info with this site,infact I'm thinking of deleting my profile,now I understand why kev did...it's all about small minded ppl who's jelousy get the best of them...I wish I didn't even mention the bloody barra....i'm done with this thread,good fishing to all

uglyfish, for myself, i was just commenting on what was in front of me, the pic did look sus, it might be the photo processing thing, i don't know. so for what i wrote i am very, very sorry. it was not my intention to upset you in anyway shape or form. but i will speak my mind

Fair enough and I will speak mine,like I said I know what happened and where it happened,bet all u doubting tomases havnt caught a barra in the wild this far south,good fishing to all I'm out
