queensland In search of 1st bull shark

Hey guys

Off to the Brisbane River again, either tommoro, or Monday. Im gonna try going at night from about 5.00-9.00, maybe longer. Planing to catch some livies and use them for bait. If not ill try and get either some servo mullet or maybe some Pilchards aswell.

Not really sure on were to go just yet. Any advice would be great.

there have been heaps of threads which are talking about sharks in the past month. a lot of them are land so just search old threads and i'm sure you'll find a spot.

In the space of about a half an hour I had three good runs down at college's crossing this afternoon for one hookup and no landings, (maybe an hour or so before full tide), I didn't come prepared with a backup plan to livebait and the livies were a bit difficult to raise so it was a shortish trip after that and I went home.

The only hookup actually came after the poor bait had been battered and scaled to death by the first two runs so colleges might be a good bet even with a bit of the old servo mullet.

Just realised that said 'Night' from 5-9 and I think they lock the gate to the carpark at college's at 6pm- don't know what the situation is on people walking into the park after 6 is though.

I "think" there is parking across the road that doesn't get locked? Mind you fishing pretty much anywhere at night I would make sure I had at least one buddy with me for safety reasons.
