making rods

seeing i have a bit of time on my hands lately, i am thinking of making up some rods for myself, all i need to know is where can you purchase very good quality parts, the rods i'm thinking about will be in the 8-15 kilo catergory, aimed at fishing soft plastic's offshore. in waters over 100 mtrs deep.
