queensland Double Island

[Coochin41]

Camped up at Double Island Point for a few days with a couple of mates . We fished several gutters from Teewah north to the camping area and scored a few big Whiting and some average sized Flathead and Dart. Generally the fishing was fairly slow but still a very relaxing break. There were plenty of campers along the beach and pippies and worms were plentiful. Most of the fish were caught on pippies and were not interested in the beach worms for some reason.

Wow i have never had whiting especially turn a beach worm down.

Saw the photoof the dart aswell well done.

I have been wanting to get up to Double Island Point for a while.

But never having two days in a row makes that tough.

Hi Angus,

I thought I loaded a picture of the Dart as well but I couldn't see it on my report . I doubled up somehow with the Whiting. Where is the picture of the Dart ? Is it in the gallery somewhere? Thanks Wayne.:S

the fishing seems slow everywher at the moment... those whiting look nice and fat tho

yeah i agree. apart from angus' whiting hahahaha. that whiting from the comp was 600g and was nice and fat to.

Matenot sure why the photo doubles.

I think you need a seperate post for seperate pics (like in my coolum report).

yeah i saw those darts, ive never caught dart that you could managed a decent feed from.
