Will,Paul and myself Took wills little Breamin boat out through the seaway at mooloolabah yesterday in the hope of chassing some Pelagics and what an awesome day it turned out to be :woohoo:

We headed down towards Rapper Shoal and man there was BAIT everywhere litterally square klms of it. It was still early and the birds had just started workin the bait and it wasnt too long before the first of the Tuna started to show. there was a mix of Mack tuna and Longies workin the bait so we started chassing them casting slugs and it didnt take long b4 we were all into the fish with double hookups gallore :):):)

Paul with his first ever Tuna a nice little mac

then Will and I got into a couple of Mack tuna

B4 I hooked the first longie of the day :woohoo: :woohoo: Drag screaming off I was just hoping the hooks would hold, I have lost about 15 of these fish from the kayak now pulling the hooks on all of them, I was hoping this would be my time to land one ;) ;) 20 mins later we see colour, A good fish not massive as far as longies go but a good fish. Paul Tail grabbed the fish for me thanks mate

The fish went late 80's probly the smallest longie I have hooked but hey its a first, now to get one from the yak :):)

we Proceeded to get into some more mack tuna and a few dropped Longies before Will got onto a good fish on my 10-17lb Loomis and 3000 Advantage loaded with 20lb braid and 40lb leader. 40 mins later he boarded the fish of the day a longie going mid 90's a great fish.

what a start to the morning, time to get Paul a Longie now, we got him hooked onto a Solid Longie when his rod litterally exploded while loaded   he then proceeded to loose the fish:angry.

We got a heap of Mack tuna including Will with this one on 4lb

the Tuna dissapeared for a little bit so we drifted some plastics over Rapper shoal where Will landed a nice little Grassy

Lee, do you ever go out without coming back with a cracker of a story and some excellent fish?

Great story, great fish, great pics.

We're heading up to Noosa to look at a couple of Hobies this weekend, hopefully in a few months (years:unsure:) I'll have the stones to join you guys in the deep water.
