queensland Cooby Dam Thursday

With the weather being unkind to kayaking, I was thinking of heading up to Toowoomba and trying my luck in Cooby Creek.

Anyone have any hot tips, or even vague advice. I have never been there and would like to tick it off my to do list.

All welcome, although not going to be sunny. But I'll take a day on the water unless the hail is raining down.

Hey mate, last time I checked, Cooby Dam was currently closed to fishing, was going to go up a few weeks back.

Can see on the DPI site there just above the list of dams, that Cooby & Gordonbrook are closed to fishing currently.

And here on Toowoomba Recional Council site it says about the algae problem at Cooby.

Maybe you could call the council first just to check if it's not open yet?
