I had a glimpse, and it has 2 handles. A common trait amongst baitcasters. not overhead sorts.

mate, my 0.02c worth is forget about the hype, grab yourself a sturdy spinning outfit and get cracking before you start pulling out the sugar'n'spice with all manner of overhead and baitcasting outfits.....

No dont have one, it will be a respectable unit, either glass or composite glass rod, barrel type reel, it wont cast like a 7 foot 2 kilo rod that's for sure, but it will work quite well with all but the smallest lures (IE Bream). Great for bait over the side of a boat or jetty.

You just order on line and pay with credit card, usually arrives within two days. I get a lot of stuff from them.

I agree with yoyo. A half-decent spinning combo will be way easier to use

malexander - the best thing i ever did as a useless kid was buy my own baitcaster i ignored better advice not to, and never looked back. i practiced casting sinkers and toby spinning lures without hooks and lo and behold baitcasters are the greatest thing ever. of course in some circumstances a spinning reel is handy, but baities are cool and fun. i say go for it. do what u feel and enjoy it

ps its in your best interest if u are keen on a baitcaster to spend a little more. worth the effort now for sure

I've had a bait caster before. Casts ages. I can cast that thing pretty far because it's so easy. No world champ caster.

I have a spinning reel aswell Upstairs in my bedroom.

MAte Baitcasters are just one of those things that u Really get what u pay for. I use BC's a LOT but I couldnt go bak to using a cheapie lol I have 8 BC's and there all awesome to use. u can get away with a cheaper spinning reel but a BC i dont think u can TBO

As a general rule, and i'm happy to be corrected here, you shouldn't own more fishing rods than fish you have caught.............

I've found the reputable brand baitcasters in the $50 - $100 range quite serviceable units. Shimano being the better ones, but the pfleuger, banax and Abu products work good enough. (Have started my boys on baitcasters in this price range)

So i'll get fishing gear first. Then motorcross gear.

Motorcross boots- 300

Bike - smitloads

Belts - 150

apparel - 200

goggles - 80.... the list goes on

my first was an abu6500-speed and at a ratio of 6.3:1 it was my first pick to use with spinning lures .. in fact it was only just retired after 16 years of heavy use .. they're a fave of mine

Yeah im sorry but I have to dissagree, if u have used a quality BC like a Alphas R,Zillion HLC, Pixy, or one of the BRICKS from shimano lol. its soon evident that the cheaper ones are near useless

it depends what you are using it for. but i would suggest that u go for a spinning combo. They are alot easier to use and i find alot better for plastics. Maybe try a seinna great reel for its value.

I can't really spend millions. Dad says so, and I have school 5 days of the week. and will have that for the next 4 years. And exam blocks on and off... really sucks.

This year I have rugby, soccer and athletics - pretty crap, because of little time.

well if you cant spend the money on a good baitcaster its probs worth getting a threadline setup because u casn get better setup for good money wheras baitcaster u do want to spend the money (not saying that u shudnt spend money on a good threadline setup) but yeh baitcasters that arnt that good get bird nests etc.

yeh well spending 60 dollars on a reel like the sienna as jack just mentioned is your best bet i reckon, they r good reels for there money
