queensland Pumicestone Passage 14/3/09

Kreel and I went up to the passage to christen the yaks today. It wasn't anywhere near as windy as the forecast which was a good thing. I was on first with a pike caught on a Mann's lure, then caught 3 more in quick succession before I'd had enough of them. Went over to see how Kreel was going and he hadn't caught anything.

We went further up the creek where Kreel managed a couple of bream of around 27-28cm, and not to be outdone, caught a pike of his own. :laugh: I lost the lucky Mann's lure while trolling but then caught a little bream on a Halco scorpion. Dunney, thanks for selling me those "flattie" lures! :silly:

I must say that it's really difficult to photograph yourself with a fish in a kayak. Hats off to all you yakkers who come home with such amazing pics

Now, where to go tomorrow? :woohoo: haha

They're great fun aren't they. Your first trip went better than ours. We got one Porcupine Fish between us :silly::laugh:
