hey plugga, I serously doubt you have tried every soft plastic you can buy, you'd have to be 80, there are thousands of them, my advice, from all the research you have said you've done, you should be able to identify an SP that works fairly consistantly for others on the type of fish you are hunting, buy only that soft plastic and a range of jig heads to suit your various fishing conditions and spend the next three months just getting confident with that SP. Its not the sp's that dont work its us! So take the time, find a spot you know there are fish, work on your technique and you will start to catch fish consistently, like all lure fishing patience and practice are the keys to catching fish.

just make sure you are covering heaps of ground when your fishing... for every 3 casts you should be at least taking 3 steps along the shoreline. This will ensure that you have covered good ground within an hour or so.

With each of the 3 casts, try 3 different retrieval methods... from super slow hops along the ground, to erratic retrieval, to consistent swim along the water column.

If you get nothing... change plastics..

if that fails... change locations. Some days, some spots just have nothing.

plugga the worms go well the flattie love the berkely sand worm, but I have

not got a lot of hits lately too much fresh and shit in the system.

so maybe try somwhere in a boat, or get sneaky?

stick with the berkely worms for a while and see how what happens

cheer

Wholely agree with dostyles and Bass Tracker.. Dont fall into the trap of assuming you always have the wrong plastics and buying more.. Take 4 packets with you wherever you go.. Buy ones that you have heard good things about from reliable sources. Switch up your retrives and cover alot of ground.. But like bass tracker said, get in the habit of using the plastic heaps and be patient. Dont assume it doesnt work cause you go 5 times and get nothing. Thats why they call it fishing and not catching.

well thats why i asked the question .with a question mark behind it ( ? )

the post is in (Won't a fish on a plastic! )and u say u caught a Flathead but did not mention the bait part in the post. so since it's in a thread about plastic's 1 would assume that u caught it on plastic.

ty for clearing that up
