Hey all,

Sorry if this has been asked before, but am I able to fish at this spot?

I work just down the road and would love to have a bit of a catch and release sesh (provided I actually catch something) when I knock off. I've seen a few people there in the morning and afternoon, so figure it is ok to do so...... but with that said, there is alot of people who don't follow the rules. Also, is it worth fishing there?

Any help would be great. Or even better.... an offer to join you on your boat after 3:30 would be even better.

not true mate, lots of people fish there on and off, just that that spot has its moments, also there are lots of weddings held there as well and it gets pretty crowded on weekends, still shouldn't interfere with fishing... I used to get some bream and even tailor at the spot where the arrow points to.. I have to say i did better on bait rather then with lures, if you are keen for a walk you could always follow the walkway, but sometimes the wind does get a little strong that side of the park, i think the luring is a little better but I wouldn't get my hopes up too much. i did meet up with dan and some of the other forum members there once or twice for a night luring session and we did come up with some bream but not heaps..

Excellent. Thanks guys. May just have to bring a rod to work and then hit it up one day this week. Thanks for the quick reply. Will post a report if I get a chance to do it. Any idea where I could get some bait from though? I don't think the others in the office here would appreciate me putting bait in the freezer here... some people are a bit sensitive to these things. LOL

about 10m right there is a rock formation that you can see at low tide starting right from the bank. Everytime I've fished it with a hardbody, a slow roll gets me at least one decent fish. Not uncommon for a 27 bream or a 40 flattie to come from there. Just be aware of the snags at the bottom.

If you follow the walkway right of your arrow, there that long boardwalk infront of the apartments... from reports day time is ok but its night time that it can really fire. I've had a 1 hour session there before that was just non-stop. Hits every single cast with a hook up rate every 2-3 casts. Have also had doughnut sessions there too....

Thanks guys. Am gonna try get there tomorrow arvo for a couple of hours, provided I get out of work on time. Will probably just take a few soft plastics and try my luck. Have never caught anything on SP's before so I'd best get reading in the forum here for all the tips. LOL
