Beginner

I'm very keen to start bass and and golden perch fishing but am unsure where to start. Any help would be most appreciated.

I'm based at The University Queensland Gatton. I would be willing to travel around 1.5 to 2 hrs. At this stage I will be focusing mainly on land based for the time being.

being at Gatton your not far from Wivanhoe. That would be the place to start.

Off wivanhoe is the brisbane river can walk along there.

i think coby in toowoomba has bass.

no bass in coby but i have got a few yellas off the bank casting spinnerbaits around also they get the odd cod up that way too

Plenty of land based options at Cooby.

Head to the cliff area ( left of ramp )

Yella's and Cod on offerB)

If you want go to hinze dam they have yellowbelly.

Make sure you go to bcf and get some freash water lures. spinner baits

and hardbody. you can even go to big w cuse they also have a wide range of

lures. Hope this helps.

hey mate and welcome to the site if you are interested in fishing for golden pearch you could try all the dams or even the condamine river. or you could try the logan river there is heaps of fish in there but i am not to shure about golden perch
