missed out on a 64 unisolar panel on ebay .

its was 10 year old i was willing to go to 400 or 450$,it went for 550.

as the have stopped producing these they are hard to find.

why unisolar they are not a glass panel and take more crap, also the have didoes in them so they work semi shaded.

i will get a panel cause i have many uses for it .

the car to have the 12 volt fridge in it.

the caravan for lights and fridge.

camping i used light and a inverter.

for the boat to charge the battery for the electric.

ah

i should of known that getting mixed up with what i have read and learned ages ago.

anyways unisolar was one of the first with them as far as i know ,but lots have them now.

there is something that panels have so instead of the whole panel dropping out only the shaded cells do.i think most panels have this these day too.

i'm to lazy to look it all up again but i have heaps of info on my pc about them but its offline still (the lazy thing).

i spent months researching them and talking with dad he has had panels for the last 15 years .but i can be over whelming there are so many types and cheaps and deer ones and so on.

anyways i like the unisolar.but think i will have trouble getting the exact 1 i want.

should have bought 1 mid last year when they still had them in stock ,teach me for being a tight ass and stuffing about.

Pv technology is a very quickly growing field. Obviously it is driven by the green factor.

Main benefits they are achieving without going into the tecnology stuff. is:

Size vs efficiency. The efficiency of thess things is getting better taking less light to produces more electricity.

The size weight and flexabilty of PVs is getting better.

Durabilty. they are now less susseptible to damage because of the materials they are being made from.

Form- they can now be made to fit any size or shape surface and are not restricted to flat slabs of glass looking panels.
